This week the Bengal chats with ISU center, Molly

Hays.  Molly is a sophomore from Missoula, Montana. She has two sisters who are twins, a brother, and a twin sister of her own.  Molly is a business major. She likes peanut M&M's and powder blue.

Bengal: What's it like being a twin?

Hays: It's nice.  You've always got a friend to hang

out with.

Bengal: When did you start playing basketball?

Hays: Kindergarten, third grade, I don't remember. I remember I made my first shot with a soccer ball in

the driveway and I ran inside to tell my family

because I was so excited.

Bengal: Did you play any other sports growing up?

Hays: Yeah,  Soccer, volleyball, softball.  Pretty

much every sport.  I played volleyball and softball

when I was in high school.

Bengal: Did you have any favorite athletes when you

were growing up?

Hays: No not really.  Probably my dad as far as

basketball goes.  My brother liked Larry Bird so he is

probably the one I watched the most.

Bengal: Were you considering any other schools before

you came to ISU?

Hays: There were a couple others.  I came here for my

recruiting trip and I liked the players and the

coaching staff.  So that is why I came here.

Bengal: Do you have any superstitions?

Hays: I try not to be superstitious.  I change my

routine everyday.  I guess maybe that is being superstitious against superstitions.  I pretty much always have a bag of peanut M&M's before warm ups.

Bengal: How do you pass the time before a game?

Hays: We have a shoot around and pregame meal.  Then I go home, shower, and take a nap if I have time.  Or I might watch some basketball on TV and then I'm out the door.
