The thunderous sound of Holt Arena's infamous wooden track was apparent as the men's track team came away from Friday night's multiple duals in first place beating Weber State and Utah Valley State College. The Women's team finished in second behind Weber State.

ISU altogether snuck away with 11 total titles, the women claiming three while the men stake claim on eight of them with Sprinter Dan Lai leading the way.

Lai finished with two titles on the evening recording a time of 6.43 in the 55-meter dash. He also placed first in the long jump with a distance of 23-02.50. He was also a crucial ingredient to the men's 4x400 meter relay team which came in third with a time of 3:23.75.

Matt Brown also takes home a first place title in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.76, while Paul Hoffman finished first in the mile run with a time 4:13.69. Matt Nelson claimed first place in the 3,000 meters at 8:30.58. James Litchfield, brother of Paul Litchfield, took first in the pole vault setting a career high mark of 15-05.00. Levi Keller triple jumped a mark of 44-03.25 and Erik Whittsit brought home the first place title in the shot put competition with a distance of 52-00.00.

On the women's side, Tiffany Anderson led the women with a first place finish in the 400 meter dash. She clocked in with a season best 56.25 seconds. Anderson also led the women's 4x400 meter relay team to a first place finish with a time of 3:54.68. She finished the night with a third place finish in the 200 meters.

Jenny Downey, part of the 4x400 relay team with Jessie Bobert and Melissa McLimore, came in first with a season-best time of 2:14.72 in the 800 meters. Michelle Railsback takes second in the 55 meter hurtles with a time of 8.36 seconds. She also came in second in the women's pole vault, with a height of 11-07, behind only elite vaulter Lindsey Taylor.

Taylor by the way is not a student. She is currently in Pocatello training with coach Dave Neilson. She is currently second in the United States in women's pole vault. She is behind one vaulter, you guessed it, Stacy Dragila.

Malorie Stoker finished third in the 3,000. Linzy Morgan placed third in the women's high jump clearing a mark of 5-04.00. Monica Jensen takes home second in the triple jump at 37-08.50, while Jessica Cornia brought home second place in the shot put with a distance of 43-11.00.

The Idaho State men tallied 121 points to Utah Valley's 28, scored 101.50 to Weber State's 51.50. Weber beat out UVSC for second with a score of 97-44. The ISU women's team lost to Weber State 80-74, but beat Utah 83-71 and UVSC 119-34.

The Bengals will return to action next week as they host the Mountain State games on Friday and Saturday at Holt Arena.
