BEVERLY HILLS, CA. - Kat Parsons to play at the Bengal Cafe in the Student Union Building at Idaho State University.

Parsons is smart and clever. It's written all over the lyrics and music of the very independent artist's second album, No Will Power. It's also the hallmark of her entrepreneurial spirit. When legions of fans from her 5,000-plus email list dogged her for an album to fill the void between her high-voltage performances, Kat asked them to put their money where their mouths were. And here's the smart and clever part: for various levels of financial commitment, her dedicated "business partners" would receive a sound return on their investment. Fans stepped up and stacked the chips to the tune of more than $14,000 before Parsons (www.KatParsons.com) ever recorded a note!

No Will Power will be distributed by Cleopatra Records / Navarre with a release date of March 29, 2005. Born in Vienna to famed opera singer Darrell Parsons, Kat has opened for The Fixx, Dave Mason, Maria Muldaur, Spin Doctors, The Knack, Jonatha Brooke, Shannon McNally, Lori McKenna and Charlotte Martin. Kat is featured in a commercial for Baldwin Pianos and Gibson Musical Instruments as well as being endorsed by Yamaha, (who has named her an "Influential Emerging Artist") and Audix Microphones. A performer first and foremost, Kat Parsons (www.katparsons.com) was the "Grand Prize" winner at this years Acoustic Live and the runner-up for "Album of the Year" at the 2005 DIY Music Festival.
