The Bengals finished their regular season before leaving for post season play on the campus of Humboldt State University in Arcata, California tomorrow.

The Bengals competed in a non-conference game at the University of Utah last Saturday afternoon. ISU played a team from Cedar City, Utah.

"We played very well," Coach Ram Eddings said.

The Bengals were defeated 25-34. Most of the opposing points coming in the last 10 minutes of the game.

"Size wise, they out weighted us by 30 or 40 pounds in the scrum," Eddings said. "They were big. I felt that we were very aggressive and played them hard. It was a great turn around from our previous game."

The Bengals proved strong against a powerful team, a team most likely more powerful than any team they may face in the collegiate playoffs.

"We had the lead un until the last 10 minutes of the game and I think they just wore us down at the end," Eddings said. "I think it was a positive experience for our players and gives us momentum going into the playoffs."

In order to give some younger players some experience going into the post season, Eddings utilized those players after half-time.

"Everyone played well," Eddings said.

Mark Roberts proved tough completing try and six penalty kicks. N'Gadu Chinene,

Konowani Mdumuka ran well, Justin Livermore, JC Freeman, Jess Willey,

Fono Valevale, and Jason Gordon all played well.

"It was a team effort, Eddings said. "We will work on making some corrections before this week.

The Bengals will leave for California tomorrow.
