Chinese New Year on campus is set

A party celebrated by one fifth of the worlds population is only a few short day's away- the ISU Chinese Student Association and ISU Chinese Folk Dance Clap Club will be celebrating the Year of the Dog at their annual Chinese New Year program, January 28 at 6 pm in the PSUB Ballroom. Music, food and dancing are all planned to help ring in the New Year. The ISU Chinese Folk Dance Clap Club will be performing the Tibetan Dance-Mt. Everest- and music by way of the cello, piano, violin are all scheduled to be performed by ISU students and association members.

Rounding out the evening will be a fashion show modeling the traditional dress of China. Food includes a 10-course meal with Chinese dumplings; stir fry, Kung Pao chicken, Chinese salted eggs and more.

Tickets for the event are available in the PSUB during the lunch hour: $5 for students, $6 for faculty and staff and $8 for the public.
