In this week's edition of the Bengal Chat, we sat down with Jessica Cornia of the women's track team, and she tells us about how she broke a teammates ankle, reincarnation, and what she would look like with dreadlocks.

Jessica is a junior from Firth, Idaho majoring in English.  She likes her mom's cooking, the colors purple and green, "You've Got Mail," and anything with John Wayne.

Bengal - What events do you participate in?

Cornia - Shot put, hammer, discus, and the weight throw.

Bengal - Which is harder?

Cornia - The weight throw hurts your back more. The hammer and discus use the most technique though. My favorite is the shot put.

Bengal - Ever hit anything on one of your throws?

Cornia - Yeah, if a person is on the field I generally hit them. I broke a girl's ankle with a shot put once.

Bengal - Do you like indoor or outdoor better?

Cornia - Outdoor because we get to go to cool places, but I like indoor because it's not as windy.

Bengal - You have 3 brothers; can they throw as far as you?

Cornia - Actually I have 4 brothers now. We just added another one. But no they can't throw as far as I do. The second one wants to throw and he wants me to be his coach.

Bengal - Does it bother them that their sister throws farther than they do?

Cornia - No. They are all stronger than me. They beat me up.

Bengal - You can pretty much throw a discus from here to Firth, why stay so close to home?

Cornia - It's a good school. We have an awesome coach. There is a good program for what I was going into. And they had the best scholarship.

Bengal - Do you have any New Year's resolutions?

Cornia - To set a goal every month and follow through with it by the end of the month and to go to regional's in outdoor.

Bengal - How are you doing on this month?
