Music lovers looking for the sounds of ISU in a take-home form must wait no longer. The ISU Bands first CD "Collage" has been released and is now available.

"Collage" includes sixteen tracks, all of campus musicians. The first eight tracks highlight The ISU Bengal Marching Band, performing an array of pieces ranging from lively renditions of classic hits by Queen and Chicago to the ISU Fight Song. The pieces are performed under the conduction of ISU Director of Bands Dr. Patrick Brooks, who aided in production of the CD. Following the Marching Band portion, the disc features the ISU wind ensemble performing such numbers as "Athletic Festival March" and "Riches to Rags". ISU Music Department faculty members Dr. John Masserini and Dr. Thom Ritter George are featured with the ensemble. The "finale" of the disc features ISU's Jazz 1 Big Band, who will be performing at Jazz Fest this year.

Overall, this disc is very well produced. The sound is crisp and clear, and the pieces are very pleasant. This disc is recommended to anyone who enjoys the sounds of jazz, big bands, or wind instruments.

"Collage" is available for $15 per copy, or $20 for two. Interested persons should contact the ISU Music Department at 282-3636.
