Bengal - Where did you grow up?
Frank - I am from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. That's about twelve hours away from here.
Bengal - How long have you played golf?
Frank - My dad loves to play the sport and introduced me to golf about ten years ago when I was nine.
Bengal - Why play in college? Why did you pick ISU?
Frank - I wanted to become a better player and keep playing competitively. Idaho State is fairly close to home, they gave me a scholarship, and it has a good golf program. They play in a lot of good golf tournaments.
Bengal - What are you studying in school?
Frank - I want to eventually become an accountant. I'm only a freshman, so I plan on being here for the next four years.
Bengal - Who is your idol or favorite golfer?
Frank - Tiger Woods, he is a good golfer with excellent work ethics. He is a good person even when he is not golfing. He helps out kids and gives money to charities and organizations.
Bengal - Do you have favorite professional teams?
Frank - I love hockey; and the Calgary Flames hockey team is my favorite. They play only five hours from where I live so I get to watch them play when I'm at home.
Bengal - What is something you are scared of?
Frank - I don't like spiders and snakes or any kind of bugs. I hate mice. I live in the Turner dorms and I have seen a mouse in my room. At night they crawl around in the vents and make noise so I can't sleep.
Bengal - What was your first job?
Frank - I worked at a driving range in Canada for four years during the summers. My job was to drive the machine that picked up golf balls.
Bengal - Are you a morning person?
Frank - No, I like to sleep a lot. The worst sleep time is during golf season. We have to get up at six in the morning for practice every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Bengal - What sports do you like to watch?
Frank - I like to watch hockey, golf, football, and sometimes tennis. I miss watching hockey because around here hockey is not a big deal. There aren't any professional hockey teams that are close at all.
Bengal - Did you play any other sports growing up?
Frank - I played hockey for about ten years.
Bengal - What is your favorite thing about your golf team?
Frank - The players are all nice. We get along good.
Bengal - Name anywhere in the world you want to go? Why?
Frank - Australia seems cool. It's nice there and I've heard a lot of good things about it. I have a friend that lives there.
Bengal - Do you have any favorite colors or favorite foods?
Frank - I like red (it's the Flames' hockey team color). I also like blue. I like pizza, chicken wings, or anything spicy.
Bengal - What is your favorite golf memory?
Frank - When I was 15 years old I won my first golf tournament by about five strokes. It was pretty exciting. I remember it like it was yesterday.
Bengal - Tell me how you expect to do this golf season.
Frank - I want to win at least one tournament this year. In all the tournaments I want to be able to finish in the top ten. It's something to work towards.
