Bengals Finish 13th in the Thunderbird Invitational

St. George, UT - In the final round of the Thunderbird Invitational the men's golf team slipped three spots to finish in 13th place. The tournament, hosted by Southern Utah University, was a two day, two-round tournament held in St. George, Utah.

The Bengals played their first round on Monday, February 13 finishing 10th heading into the final day of play. Kyle Prolo and Tyler Frank led the first round by both ending the day tied for 26th. In round two both found themselves in a tie for 45th and the team dropped to 13th place overall.

Southern Utah University won the tournament with a total two-round score of 563 followed by the University of Denver in second who finished four stokes back with a final score of 571 and Weber State finished third. Boise State's Graham DeLaet won the individual title with an overall score of 136 shooting 66-70 in the two rounds.

Prolo (73-78) and Frank (73-78) led the Bengals which had a team total of 613. Anthony Molitor (77-75) finished in a tie for 50th, while Mark Cowman (78-81) finished tied for 69th and Ryan Nielson (79-85) finished tied for 80th.
