In this edition of the Bengal Chat, we caught up with Christina Brown of the women's track team. Christina gives us the low down on why she doesn't cheer for ISU and the problem with LeBron James' gum.
Bengal - Let's start out with some of your favorites. Color?
Brown - Blue.
Bengal - Movie?
Brown - "Old School" and "Love and Basketball."
Bengal - Food?
Brown - Thai food.
Bengal - Athlete?
Brown - Stacey Dragila.
Bengal - Team?
Brown - Idaho State Track Team.
Bengal - What events do you compete in?
Brown - Long jump, triple jump, 60m, 100m, 200m, and the 4x100.
Bengal - Which is your favorite?
Brown - The long jump. It's my best event.
Bengal - Did you play any other sports?
Brown - I played softball when I was young and in high school I played volleyball, basketball, track and cheerleading. I also did gymnastics.
Bengal - Are you the athlete in your family?
Brown - Yeah. My sisters did stuff too, but I'm the one that stuck with it.
Bengal - Today is "I want you to be happy" day. What makes you happy?
Brown - Food, family, friends, and my dog.
Bengal - What was your first job?
Brown - Cheer Instructor.
Bengal - So why don't you cheer for ISU? Because of track?
Brown - Yeah.
Bengal - What is your idea of hell?
Brown - Being in a room with snakes and bugs. That's disgusting.
Bengal - Are you a morning person?
Brown - Yes. I naturally wake up at 6:30 no matter what day it is. I sleep in a little longer sometimes though.
Bengal - Do you have any superstitions?
Brown - Yeah, I really like bubble gum. I have to chew Orbit Bubble Mint. One time I was chewing some LeBron James gum and I scratched twice. Then I put in some Orbit and on the third one I got my mark.
Bengal - When you go on the road what is the one thing you can't leave home without?
