The Cultural Affairs Council and Pi Sigma Alpha will present Richard Pious and his lecture entitled "Is Presidential Power Poison? The Constitution and the War on Terror" on Thursday, April 6 in the PSUB Salmon River Room at 7p.m.

Pious will discuss issues concerning the manner that the current Presidential administration has carried out with its war on terror and it's affects on the average citizen on multiple levels.

According to Pi Sigma Alpha member Shawn Wilkerson, "As students and/or professionals in academia, the recent violation of basic Constitutional guarantees of protection of privacy, including personal records and correspondence have been violated.  These are events that could have a chilling affect on an academics' freedom of speech and Freedom of association. Attending this event will not only expose students and faculty to the Constitutional violations committed by the current administration, but also provide a forum for expression for their opinions, for or against this position."

Event takes place Thursday, April 6 at 7 PM in the Salmon River Room in the PSUB.
