Over last weekend, the ISU Rodeo Team took care of some cowboys and girls from around the region.

The men's team took fourth in the region right behind Weber State, and the women took third.

"We did not catch second place," Rodeo Advisor/Coach Brian Hetrick said. "And Weber passed us by a few points."

Another feat for the team was two winners out of nine events.

Clint Arave won calf roping. Corey Chadwick won break away roping. Chadwick and her husband Zach Chadwick qualified for the national competition in June in team roping. And then it came down to the last run for Wyatt Kinghorn in steer roping, but he ended up taking second and qualifying for nationals as well.

Hetrick says it has been a successful year that will hopefully continue on to the competition this June.

"It was a good year. Hopefully we're not done with the good year," Hetrick said. "Hopefully we'll do well at nationals."
