Soccer Adds Sandner and Zikratch to 2006 Signing Class

Pocatello, ID-Idaho State head soccer coach Allison Gibson has announced that Jennifer Sandner and Alison Zikratch have signed National Letters of Intent to join the Bengals for the 2006-07 academic year.
The following will join the Idaho State women's soccer team under coach Gibson this fall:
Jennifer Sandner
Canby, Oregon (Canby Union High School)
5-2, Forward/Midfield/Defense
Sandner heads to Idaho State after successful careers at both the high school and club levels. Sandner helped Canby Union High School consecutive top three finishes in the Pac-9 conference. She also helped CUHS to three straight state tournament appearances. She played for the club team FC Portland, where she helped the team to a State Cup title. Sandner also played for Oregon's Olympic Development League (ODP) team.
Coach Gibson on Sandner:
"Jennifer comes to us from one of the premier clubs in the Northwest, FC Portland. Jen's quickness, technical speed, and versatility as a player will be a huge asset to our program. ISU women's soccer will benefit greatly from Jen's high level of club and ODP experience."
Alison Zikratch
Pocatello, Idaho (Pocatello High School)
5-6, Forward/Midfielder
Zikratch joins the Bengals after a successful career at Pocatello High School. While at PHS, she led the Indians to multiple state tournament appearances, including a third place finish at the 2005 tournament. Zikratch was named the state's 4A player of the year in 2004 after notching 24 goals and 15 assists. She also received all-state honors in 2005 after collecting a career-high 37 goals along with 17 assists. Over her four-year career, Zikratch put in 88 goals and 62 assists. She also played soccer for the Portneuf Valley Soccer Club (PVSC), leading the squad to numerous titles at various tournaments.
