If you haven't seen it yet, Monster House is certainly worth watching. Definitely not the childish movie I anticipated, I was pleasantly surprised with the new intensity Monster House delivers. Being computer animated doesn't make this a light-hearted feature; in fact Monster House forces you to take it seriously.

This movie is 91 minutes in length, and rated PG for scary images and sequences, thematic elements, as well as some crude humor and brief language. As such, this movie is probably not appropriate for young children, those prone to night terrors, or the faint of heart.

Monster House is everything you'd expect from a movie with Executive Producers Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis. Furthermore, Director Gil Kenan, a recent UCLA graduate, proves he is entitled to the faith Spielberg and Zemeckis placed in him. Screenplay writers Dan Harmon, Rob Schrab and Pamela Pettler, created a unique and original cinematic plot, complete with some unusual twists.

Keep an eye out for Monster House, set to appear at the Carmike 7 and the Reel Theater.
