The second half proved to be no better. Weber State continued to hold the lead for the second half as well, answering back to every point that the Bengals made. When the game drew down to three and a half minutes and Weber State continued to dominate the game with an 18 point lead (62-44) many fans began to leave but the remaining Bengals' fans riled up and tried to spur a come-back, but ultimately ISU was only able to close the 18 point difference down to a 13 point deficit.
The men's basketball team came into the game leading the Big Sky Conference and finished defeated at home in front of 3,300 spectators. The Bengals had trouble all evening trying to sink their baskets as they made only one in three shots for the evening.
David Schroeder (#30) led ISU in points against the Wildcats earning 20 points in 20 attempts, while the Wildcats top scorer, David Patten (#24) scored 23 points. Akbar Abdul-Ahad scored only eight points the whole game whereas his average points-per-game is close to 14.
Next Thursday ISU will play at home against Northern Arizona Lumberjacks who is currently ranked fourth in conference. Tip off is at 7:05 p.m.
