This Week's Sky Highlights

Twelve games and six days. That's what remains in the 2007 regular season. Weber State has cliched at least a share of the conference title, and can clinch the outright championship with losses by Northern Arizona, Montana, and Idaho State this week...On Wednesday, Northern Colorado treks to Montana State. The Bobcats are on the verge of clinching a spot in the tournament...Idaho State heads to Eastern Washington on Thursday. Sacramento State is at Portland State, and Northern Arizona is at Montana...On Saturday, Idaho State travels to Portland State, while Sacramento State is at Eastern Washington. Northern Colorado is at Montana. NAU is at Montana State on Sunday. Eight teams are still alive for the four remaining spots in the tournament. Sacramento State will be eliminated with a loss. Weber State Clinches Share of Title: Weber State clinched at least a share of the Big Sky Conference regular-season championship with a 63-57 home win against Montana on Wednesday. The Wildcats, 11-4 in league, can clinch the title outright with a win at Sacramento State on Monday, Feb. 26. The Wildcats can also clinch the outright title if Montana, Idaho State, and Northern Arizona lose one more conference game. Weber State became the second team in league history to finish last in the league, and then finish first the very next season. Portland State finished last in 2003-04 at 5-9, and finished first in 2004-05 with an 11-3 record. Weber State has now won 18 regular-season conference titles, more than any other in school history. Weber State can finish no worse than second this season. Weber State has not yet earned the right to host the conference tournament. Montana can still host the tournament if the Grizzlies and Weber State finish 11-5, and Montana State finishes ahead of Portland State in the conference standings. Idaho State can still host the tournament if it ties with Weber State at 11-5, and Montana finishes ahead of Northern Arizona in the standings. Weber State last hosted the tournament in 2003.
