There are a lot of activities going on outside this spring at ISU. Golf, archery, racquetball, badminton, soccer, softball, ultimate Frisbee, touch rugby, swimming, scuba diving, rock climbing, and fly fishing are some of the PEAC activity classes offered this spring. In fact, these classes are offered in the late 8 weeks of the semester, which means you still may have time to sign up for them. This is the last week to sign up for the classes, so if you are interested, you need to hurry. To sign up, log on to your MyISU portal and search for open PEAC classes.

The classes do have a fee (most class fees are $50), but they can be totally worth it for you to try something new or improve on a skill you already have. I can't speak for all of them, but I have taken the fly fishing class and the fly fishing instructor is an expert, and a professional fishing guide. The quality of instruction is superb, and in many cases the class fee can be a great bargain.

In addition to the activity classes, the upcoming events with the Outdoor Adventure Center (OAC) are diverse and look fun. From a difficult challenge with the City of Rocks climbing trip, to the fun but more casual Gold Bug Hot Springs hike, to one of several kayaking or rafting trips, there are a lot of cool things going on soon with the OAC. These are only a few examples of the many offerings. To sign up, stop by the OAC, and take a friend to sign up with you.
