David Schroeder named Co-Big Sky Player of the Week

Ogden, UT --- Idaho State senior David Schroeder was named Co-Big Sky Player of the Week along with Sacramento State junior Roderick Adams. Schroeder and Adams shared the award for their efforts in games on Monday and Tuesday.
Schroeder, a 6-foot-2, 205-pound guard from Salmon, Idaho, averaged 18 points, 3.5 rebounds and two assists per game for the Bengals. Schroeder played all 45 minutes, scoring 16 points in the Bengals' 72-71 overtime loss to Montana on Monday. He came back on Tuesday, playing 39 minutes and scoring 20 points to lead the Bengals to a 67-58 win over Montana State. Idaho State needed the victory over Montana State to qualify for the Big Sky Conference Championship. Schroeder made three 3-pointers, and converted on 5-of-6 free throws. He also had three rebounds and a steal.
The award was the second of the year for Schroeder, and the fourth of his illustrious career. In the Montana game on Monday, he broke into the top 10 in scoring in ISU history.
Adams, a 6-1, 185-pound guard from Dallas, Texas, scored 20 points with seven steals, seven assists, and five rebounds as the Hornets upset first-place Weber State 105-83 on Monday. Adams was 7-of-8 from the field, and 6-of-9 from the free-throw line in a career-high 35 minutes. The 20 points and seven steals were career-highs. The seven steals tied for the third best mark in the Hornet's Division I single-game history. Adams scored 13 points in the first half, helping the Hornets build a 48-28 halftime lead.
