If you were at Reed Gym last Thursday night watching the women's basketball game team play host to rival and second ranked Weber State, you might have been a little confused about the team that was playing in white and orange uniforms. You might have thought, "Are these the same ISU Bengal's or is this some scout team with shaved legs and wigs?" ISU was playing mean defense, throwing nasty defensive curve balls at the Wildcats and leaving them dumbfounded and searching for answers offensively. Traditionally this season, the Bengal's have ranked nearly last in conference in giving up the most points per game. In their victories, they have just out shot the other team in barn burner after barn burner. But not last Thursday night. These women had a defensive chip on their shoulder and they wanted to show Weber State what that's all about.

Before this rival game even started, the super fan rivalry was well under way. Ross, ISU's action packed super fan was having a yelling match with some fan from Weber that from a distance appeared to be a loud mouthed geriatric version of Barney in his purple sweatshirt. Cheap entertainment to say the least!

After keeping the game relatively close during the first half, ISU closed out the half with a 34-27 lead over the Wildcats. The second half would prove to be all Bengal's as ISU went on an 18-4 run from about the 13 minute mark until just under the 7 minute mark. This would prove to be too much for the Wildcats and ISU rolled to an easy 81-56 victory. 56 points are the fewest the Bengal's have allowed all season.

Natalie Doma led ISU with 24 points and 11 boards, making it her twenty-first double-double of the season. Andrea Lightfoot contributed 18 of her own. Jeni Boesel had 13 points and contributed a team high 9 assists in the contest.

On Saturday, ISU welcomed Sacramento State for their final regular season game. It was senior night and point guard Jeni Boesel was honored with her parents and brother at half court. Jeni couldn't have written a better storybook ending than the one she left on the court last Saturday. Boesel hit 6 three pointers in the game, a career high at ISU, and finished with 20 to help push her team to an easy victory over Sacramento State. These 6 pointers that she hit gives Jeni 105 total career treys as an ISU Bengal.
