Once again the public is invited to participate in the Community Environmental Fair to be held on Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Tydeman Park. This year's theme is "CO2 + U = ?"
The fair will include a large variety of exhibitor booths, entertainment on stage throughout the day, children's activities, food court and an area for the public to relax and enjoy the festivities.
Many of the community's leading organizations are involved in the fair this year, including the City of Pocatello, Idaho Power, Wal-Mart, the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, Phil Meador Toyota, Idaho Museum of Natural History and Idaho State University.
Organizers hope to educate the public about alternative ways of consuming, personal wellness, environmentally conscious living and to encourage participants to make daily and long-term choices that can positively contribute to a healthier environment.
The Committee is currently looking for more green businesses and food vendors for the fair. The next organizational meeting is set for Thursday, March 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Idaho DEQ, 444 Hospital Way. Those interested may contact Candice Hurt at 234-6256, churt@pocatello.us, or visit the website at www.envirofair.org.
