Idaho State University head coach John Zamberlin will take to the field for the first time with whistle in hand and Bengals to coach on Thursday, March 29 for the start of spring football camp. The camp will culminate on April 21 with the annual Spring Game, which will take place at 1 p.m. in Holt Arena.

Zamberlin will oversee 42 returning lettermen and 15 returning starters from last years' 2-9 team. Spring camp will see a new style for the Bengals, with a whole new coaching staff. One position battle among the many in camp that fans will want to keep an eye on will be at quarterback, where sophomore Luke Butler and freshmen Russel Hill and Cody Boek will look to take the reigns from Matt Gutierrez.

Fans are welcome to watch practices, although they might need to set their alarm clocks as the team will have six practices from 5:50 to 7:30 a.m. The team will also hold two Saturday scrimmages, on April 7 and 14.
