This week, the Bengal sat down and talked with Christine Keeton from the ISU Women's Softball team. Here's what she said.

Bengal: Where did you grow up?

Keeton: I lived in Stilwell, Kansas until I was in ninth grade and then we moved to Spokane, Washington.

Bengal: How long have you played softball?

Keeton: Probably since I was four. I played t-ball.

Bengal: Why did you come to play at ISU?

Keeton: I used to play at Connecticut for two and a half years and I hated it. Then I talked to a coach during the summer and decided to come here to play.

Bengal: What other sports have you been involved in?

Keeton: In high school I played volleyball, basketball, and ran track. I still play for fun all of the time.

Bengal: What are you going to school for?

Keeton: Physical Education

Bengal: Do you have any favorite professional teams?

Keeton: The New York Yankees. I have since I was little. We used to go to games all the time when I lived in Connecticut.

Bengal: What have been some of the challenges of playing on a new team?

Keeton: We're young. Playing as a freshman is different than being in high school. Everything is on a college level and I think that we don't have much experience yet.

Bengal: What was your first job?

Keeton: I was a YMCA referee for basketball for a few years on and off.

Bengal: What is your favorite holiday?

Keeton: Christmas, because I like getting together with my family and cousins.

Bengal: What are your plans for the summer?

Keeton: I am staying here for summer school and working out.

Bengal: Do you remember how you first started playing softball?

Keeton: My parents put me in t-ball.

Bengal: What is your favorite thing about the team?

Keeton: I like hanging out. We all get along pretty good.

Bengal: What is your favorite outdoor activity? Indoor?

Keeton: I would have to say camping. Indoors would be karaoke revolution with my teammates.

Bengal: Do you have any brothers and sisters?

Keeton: I have a twin sister and two little brothers.

Bengal: Do you have any hobbies?

Keeton: Shopping and hanging out with friends.

Bengal: Are you a morning person?

Keeton: No, I'm a night person. I have an eight o'clock class every Friday and it is tough.

Bengal: Do you have a nickname?

Keeton: For the past couple of years, people have called me Keets or Keeton.

Bengal: What do you plan on doing after you graduate?

Keeton: I want to be a high school teacher and coach.

Bengal: Do you have any favorite foods?

Keeton: Sushi

Bengal: What is your dream vacation?

Keeton: Anywhere warm on a beach with friends, probably Australia.

Bengal: What is your favorite thing to do when you want to relax?

Keeton: Listen to all kinds of music.
