Experiencing The New Moon's Arms with a Caribbean accent

Not often do you have the opportunity to experience a novel from the vocal chords of its author. However, that is exactly the experience Nalo Hopkinson offered ISU, last Friday evening. Immersed in Hopkinson's Caribbean accent, The New Moon's Arms vividly unfolded for audience members.

With the end of a semester just around the corner, it is important to keep your body ready for the late night study sessions, early morning cramming and the anxiety involved in taking exams. A balanced diet and exercise are key factors for a healthy lifestyle any day of the year, but when finals roll around it is especially important to feed your body the nutrients it needs, and provide a way to release the anxiety and stress.

Choreographer teaches dance class open to all

The class will be held on April 21st, 2007 from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. in the Red Hill Dance Studio Free performance by Amy O'Neal and I~Move on April 21st at 4:30 p.m. in the Stephens Performing Arts Center, Rogers Experimental Theatre Amy O'Neal, a dancer and choreographer currently residing in Seattle, will be visiting ISU as a guest artist the week of April 16-21, 2007 through the generosity of the Connie Smith Bowen Rural Arts Series.

GO AHEAD, SHOOT IT, THERE'S NO ONE AROUND Two teenagers were walking through the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon firing rifles at road signs for target practice. They probably went too far when they shot a temporary sign that read "Police Training Exercise Ahead," because a sheriff's patrol car was on them in seconds.
