A case of the blues travels to Pocatello

The rafters at Holt Arena were literally rocked out of the ceiling last Thursday night, as Blues Traveler brought bright lights and big beats to Pocatello. The ISU Program Board brought in a big time band that has been shaking up the melodic blues scene since 1983.

ISU Alumni Association announces Outstanding Student Achievement Award recipients

The ISU Alumni Association, in conjunction with the ISU Ambassadors, has announced the 2006-2007 Outstanding Student Achievement Award recipients. The award is given to one graduating student from each college (as well as a number of sub-colleges) that has shown outstanding achievement and ability in the areas of academics, extra-curricular activities, and in their personal lives.

32 killed in shootings on Virginia Tech campus

BLACKSBURG, Va. - The deadliest shooting massacre in American history savaged Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University on Monday, as an unidentified gunman killed 32 people and wounded 15 more, then killed himself, his motive and identity unknown as of early evening.

On 04/09/07 at approximately 8:40 a.m. at the Holt Arena, Public Safety responded to a report of vandalism that had taken place on the turn over the weekend. On 04/09/07 at approximately 9:45 a.m. at Reed Gym, Public Safety responded to a report of vandalism on Benny the Bengal.

Bold new ISU license plate makes its debut

A bold new ISU Bengal logo appears on the redesigned Idaho motor-vehicle collegiate license plate for the university. An ISU text logo replaces the familiar Bengal tiger's face, which was indistinct from a distance. The plate provides alumni, employees and ISU supporters alike the opportunity to broadcast their pride in and support of Idaho State University.

Earth Week activities slated for April 23-27

The Idaho State University Students' Community Service Center (SCSC) and Student Action Volunteers for the Environment (SAVE) will sponsor Earth Week from April 23 to 27 at ISU. The event will include a series of free, Earth-centered activities and discussions to celebrate and connect with our planet Earth.

College of Technology students win medals in Boise competition
