Brittany Austin finishes Cowgirl Classic with lowest round of the season

Scottsdale, AZ - Idaho State's Brittany Austin had a stellar third round to move her from a tie at 25th place to finish the tournament in a tie for 16th. Austin shot a third round of 74 strokes to close the Cowgirl Classic. 74 is the lowest round of any Bengal this season.
Austin was followed closely by teammates Brianna Crompton and Hannah Venn. Crompton dropped from 20th place after two rounds to finish in 21st place. Venn also dropped places, from 18th to 22nd.
The tournament was won by Ali Carter of Northern Arizona, who never trailed after each round. Carter was the only golfer to achieve par of 72 strokes in the Cowgirl Classic. Carter helped her team win the tournament by 35 strokes over the next place competitor. Carter finished the tournament with a score of +5 while her team finished with a score of +44.
