Idaho State Track competes in Mark Faldmo Invitational

Idaho State competed in the Mark Faldmo Invitational at Utah State last Saturday April 14. Idaho State had 31 finishes in the top three in twenty three different events.
First place finishers for ISU were, for the women, Jessica Hillam who finished in first place in both the shot put and the discuss throw. Hillam threw a distance of 43'6.5" in the shot put and 144'10" in the discus. Cassie Merkley finished in first place in the javelin with a throw of 134', while Trinelle McKinley finished in first in the 400 meter dash with a time of 57.7. The ISU 4X400 team also took first with a time of 3:55.06.
For the men, Jon Ricardi recorded a first place finish in the 3000 meter steeple chase. Ricardi finished the race with a time of 9:35.99. Sam Pierson took first in the pole vault with a vault of 16' and Jacob Keller finished in first place in the triple jump with a distance of 44'3.25".
