Well, the 2006-2007 school year is winding down, thank goodness, and that means it's time to take a look back at some of the highlights in the Bengal world of sports. Football The Football season started out with high hopes and an eye on the glory of a Big Sky Championship.
This past weekend presented three exciting days for the Bengal track team, including more than 700 high school athletes who competed in a two-day span. Though only a handful of college athletes came to compete, the Bengals finished strong and received many good marks.
This week the Bengal sat down with Freshman Softball player Whitney Nix. Here's what Nix said. Bengal: What is your favorite memory of softball? Nix: Biking the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco on tandem bikes. Bengal: If you could spend a day with any professional athlete, who would it be? Nix: Steve Nash, cause he is the man and I love how he plays the game.
Pocatello, ID --- Idaho State University's first spring practice season under new head coach John Zamberlin ended with a 44-15 win for the offense in the annual Spring Game, which took place in Holt Arena. The offense blew open a 10-10 halftime tie with four second half touchdowns, taking advantage of the second half starting field position of the defense's 40 and 20-yard lines.
