Women's Tennis End Season with Loss to Montana

Missoula, MT-- ISU women's tennis was swept by University of Montana 7-0 Sunday afternoon. The Bengals' season ends with a 2-10 record and a Big Sky record of 0-7. Montana ends its season with a 5-16 record and a Big Sky record of 3-4. Montana will be the No. 5 seed for the Big Sky Conference.
The Bengals lost three of the three doubles matches to put them behind 1-0 early in the match. Anastasia Sazykina and Stephanie Roldan fought hard but were defeated by Cheyne Ursich and Danni Paulson 8-5 at the number two doubles spot.
Idaho State then lost six of the six singles contests to take the 7-0 loss. Freshman Lewis played tough but fell to Liz Walker 6-4, 6-3 at the number one singles spot. Freshman Sophie Dang played tough but was defeated by Paulson 6-3, 7-6 (7-1) at the number three singles spot. Senior Katherine Zigars fell to Cheyne Ursich 6-4, 7-5 at number four singles. Anastasia Sazykina was defeated by Kayla Moyse 6-3, 6-4 at number six singles.
