ISU Public Safety Log: Summer 2007 Edition

On 06/12/07 at approximately 4:41 p.m. in the G11 Lot, Public Safety responded to a hit and run accident. Pocatello Police Department was contacted and responded. Case referred to PPD.
On 06/21/07 at approximately 1:33 a.m. at the Red Hill Pillars, Public Safety took a report of an alcohol violation. Pocatello Police Department was contacted and ticketed the individuals upon arrival. Case referred to the Dean of Students.
On 06/26/07 at approximately 2:24 a.m. at Reed Gym, Public Safety responded to an alarm and a report of an explosion. Pocatello Fire Department was contacted and responded. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a boiler pipe had exploded. The area was secured with minor damage to the boiler and all units cleared.
On 06/29/07 at approximately 1:49 a.m. at Pocatello Family Medicine, Public Safety took a report of a drug violation. Pocatello Police Department was contacted and took one individual into custody. Case referred to PPD.
On 06/29/07 at approximately 4:02 p.m. in the G02 Lot, Public Safety responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck a bicyclist. Pocatello Fire Department and Pocatello Police were contacted and responded. Case referred to PPD.
On 07/01/07 at approximately 3:04 a.m. at the University Courts, Public Safety took a report of a noise complaint. Upon arrival, the individuals were contacted and asked to quiet down and given a verbal warning for possession alcohol.
On 07/01/07 at approximately 1:08 p.m. at Holt Arena, Public Safety took a report of a bicyclist running into speed limit sign. A maintenance request was submitted for a speed limit sign that had been bent and removed from the ground. EMS responded and transported the individual to Portneuf Medical Center.
On 07/02/07 at approximately 10:21 a.m. on Red Hill, Public Safety responded to a report of a brush fire on the hill behind the cemetery. Pocatello and Chubbuck Fire Departments responded to put out the fire. Ridge Crest Housing was evacuated as a precaution until the fire was under control.
