Bengals Play to 1-1 Tie against Cal State Fullerton

Las Vegas, NV--Despite an early first half goal from Senior Natalie Graham, Idaho State played to a double-overtime 1-1 tie against Cal State Fullerton Sunday at the UNLV Adidas Classic in Las Vegas.
With the tie, Idaho State and Cal State Fullerton move to 0-1-1 overall on the season.
Graham took a shot from the left post and sent it to the right corner and to the back of the net to give Idaho State an early 1-0 lead in just the fifth minute of the game. Graham's goal was assisted by Junior Jana Boehler.
Idaho State held the 1-0 lead until the 30th minute when Fullerton's Jenae Gibbens headed in a corner kick to tie the game at 1-1. The 1-1 score would stay through the final 80 minutes, including the two overtime periods.
Senior Maren Eves played 110 minutes in goal for Idaho State, collecting a career-high 10 saves in the process.
Graham led the Bengal attack with a team-high five shots on the day, including four shots on goal. Senior Michelle Okumura notched three shots, while Junior Kilee Quigley and Boehler each added two.
The Bengals now return to Pocatello to host the Governor's Cup Sept. 7-9. ISU will host Boise State on Sept. 7 and Idaho on Sept. 9.
