Good barbeque is hard to find, that's why you should plan on attending the 26 annual Cooperative Wilderness Handicapped Outdoor Group, Pig Out Sept. 15. Not only will you get the opportunity to dine on some tasty food, but there will also be live bands and games and crafts for the children. Not to mention supporting CW HOG as they work to provide challenging outdoor activities, build strong ties between people with and without disabilities, and continue to strengthen and educate the community. The Pig Out begins at 3 p.m. at Lower Ross Park and will continue until 10, with dinner being served from 4 until 7:30, and entertainment for the children from 3-5 p.m.
As you may have guessed dinner will feature barbeque pork, along with Idaho bakers; corn on-the-cob; vegetarian, Dutch oven dishes; and salads. You can look forward to a night of succulent food, entertainment, and fresh air. The Pig Out has steadily grown over the years with over 1,200 community supporters enjoying a night of food, socializing, and dancing. That's right dancing! This year's toe-tapping bands are US Bluez and Steele Head Red Band.
So if you're ready to enjoy good barbeque, music, and fun head to the Outdoor Adventure Center and get tickets. Tickets are also available at Budget Tapes & Records, Scott's Ski & Sports, Barrie's Sports, Ace Hardware & Sports, Sandbaggers, and Rob's Ride on Bikes and Snow. If you get your tickets in advance you'll save yourself some money as well. Prices are $13 for adults in advance ($15 at the park), $6 for children in advance ($7 at the park), and children 5 and under are free.
