As students at Idaho State University race back and forth between classes, food is an essential part of every college student's day. There are the favorite places to eat like Winger's or Texas Road House but let's face it, they are a little far away from campus, especially if students are in a hurry. Besides, when a student is short on cash and needs convenience, food needs to be close and fast. So where do ISU students prefer to go the most for lunch and dinner when location, convenience, and price matters most?
Some ISU students were surveyed and asked where their favorite place to eat near or on campus. The results are in and here are the top five:
#5: Coyote Jack's, in the ISU Rendezvous Complex on campus, apparently has quite the tasty burgers and chicken sandwiches according to the poll. Student Alex Chappell said, "It's the closest to the cash register." Ok, so maybe there is another reason why Coyote Jack's is a winner but when a student is in need of a satisfying burger, French fries, and chicken strips that are "flipping amazing!" according to student Austin Taylor, Coyote Jack's is the place to go.
#4: 5th Street Bagelry ranked number four because of a good homework atmosphere and well, good bagels, of course. "They have great bagel sandwiches along with Italian cream sodas, and so much more. I have only eaten there once and I loved it," said student Sara Arndt. With satisfying coffee, bagels, and just down the street from campus, 5th Street Bagelry is definitely a place to go relax, eat, and work on homework.
#3: TCBY is a quick walk off campus that is well worth it for the tasty treats. Specializing in ice cream and frozen yogurt pleasures, TCBY has many options and flavors for each and every student. "I like the three-berry sundae," said student Justin Matthews. Student Jessica Wood agreed that TCBY was a winner in her book saying, "I like the strawberry milkshakes. Actually, it's a frozen yogurt strawberry milkshake, and it tastes so good." So if one wants a nice dessert after dinner or just desires something for the sweet tooth, try frozen yogurt and all the tasty indulgences at TCBY.
