The Idaho State women's golf team completed their first tournament of the fall season in the Giustina Memorial Classic, Tuesday. The lady Bengals took 10th place in the competition with a three-round score of 1011. ISU was led by sophomore Katie Phillips who took 41st place with a three-round score of 248.
To take 44th place Alysia Hall shot well with a three-round score of 252. Senior, Hannah Venn took 45th place with three consistent rounds to finish with a score of 254. Freshman, Kylie Smith tied for 46th place with a 257 score. To take 49th place Sara Nickels shot a three-round score of 282.
Felicia Eastick of Oregon took 1st place in the tournament with an excellent 2nd round score of 69 to finish with a three-round score of 217. Washington State University took the team win with a three-round score of 886.
The Idaho State men's golf team also competed in their first tournament of the season in the Giustina Memorial Classic Tuesday. The Bengal men took 10th place in the competition with a three-round total of 915. ISU was led by Mark Cowman who is tied for 35th place with a three-round score of 224.
Kyle Prolo had a consistent second and third round to produce a score of 225 to tie for 38th place. Steve Peters took 47th place with a three-round score of 232. Dylan Meyers shot a 234 to take 48th place. Jeremy Colson took 50th place with a three-round score of 243.
Troy Merritt of Boise State took 1st place in the tournament with a solid performance and a score of 204. Oregon State University took the team win with a three-round score of 843.
In this weekend's tournament, the Idaho State women's golf team took third place in the WSU Triangular with a team score of 318, Friday. Senior, Hannah Venn led the Bengals with a tie for eighth place with a score of 77 (+6), her lowest round of the season.
Alysia Hall took 15th place with an eight over round of 79. Tied for 16th place Katie Phillips had a score of 80 (+9). Freshman, Kylie Smith took 19th place with a score of 82. Tied for 25th place Sara Nickels has a score of 89.
Sadie Venn, Jennifer Harris and Emily Evans played as individuals in the tournament. Freshman, Sadie Venn played took 21st place with a score of 85. Jennifer Harris tied for 22nd place with a score of 86 (+15). With a score of 87 Emily Evans took 24th place at the tournament.
Natalie Weber of Weber State took 1st place in the WSU Triangular with a score of 69 (-2). Weber State University also took 1st place in the team win with a combined score of 296.
The Bengals next tournament will be October 8th and 9th at the Bronco Fall Invitational in Boise, Idaho.
