When you combine nachos, pallets of wood seemingly a mile high, a massive crowd, cheerleaders and of course a various amount of fraternities, what do you get?-A night filled with fun, excitement and fire baby! There was a decent turnout for the bon-fire for this year's homecoming week. People showed up with high hopes of a good time and that's exactly what they got. Whether someone showed up by themselves or in a group of friends, more than likely they were not let down.
In this yearly ceremony there were the usual events. The bonfire; having Intense heat hitting your face standing one-hundred feet away, the cheerleading squad; cheerleaders setting the mood for the football coach to step on stage, and the fraternities/sororities; goofy brothers and sisters performing chants even if they don't know what to do. On this night, school spirit was at its highest. I'm sure that the football coach and his team were hungrier than ever for victory against the Northern Colorado Bears. Not only was there a great student turnout but there was also a good media turnout with Z 103's DJs throwing prizes from the stands and various news stations recording and reporting the events going on. Oh yes, and let us not forget our friends, the Pocatello Fire Department, who made the bonfire possible!
After the prizes were thrown, cheers were made, groups were placed and speeches were given. The fire soon burnt out. The crown dissipated leaving nothing but hope in the air.
