Zeidman earns honor as team gears up for NAU

Idaho State University's football team heads down to Flagstaff, Arizona looking to even up their conference record at 2-2, and stay in contention for a top finish in the Big Sky Conference. The Bengals will enter the game with the reigning Special Teams Player of the Week in the Big Sky in punter/kickoff specialist Dan Zeidman.
The Bengals, who have not won in Flagstaff since the 1984 season, will be taking on a team that is 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference after a harrowing 44-43 win over the Portland State Vikings, a game in which PSU misfired on a two-point conversion with six seconds left. The Lumberjacks are headed up by the dean of Big Sky Coaches in Jerome Sauers.
Fans can take advantage of a unique ticket promotion for the October 20th game against Portland State, as it is "Be a Kid Again" Day, as fans can purchase an adult ticket to at the youth price of $7 all this week at the ISU Holt Arena ticket office (208-282-FANS). This promotion is available only until Friday, October 12.
Zeidman, a 6-1, 190-pound senior from El Cajon, Calif., averaged 46.6 yards on five punts with a net of 42.4 yards in Idaho State's 26-14 conference victory over Northern Colorado. Zeidman pinned Northern Colorado inside their own 20-yard line twice. He had a long punt of 57 yards. Zeidman's also averaged 69.3 yards on six kickoffs with a touchback. Zeidman's work forced Northern Colorado's average starting field position to be the 19-yard line, and UNC started four drives inside their own 10 after punts or kickoffs.
