It was another historic week at Holt Arena, unfortunately for the Bengals, it wasn't all for them as they fell to Cal Poly 48 - 28. Josh Barnett set another career rushing record this week with his 14th 100 yard rushing performance. This gives him sole possession of the school record for 100 yard games, now one game ahead of Alfredo Anderson.

Hill: About 13 years Bengal: Why did you choose to join the ISU football team? Hill: They offered me a scholarship and I have some family in Pocatello so I thought that it was a good fit.
ISU soccer made for an interesting weekend. The Bengals defeated Montana 1-0 increasing their chances of making the Big Sky tournament. However, ISU followed that up by a 1-0 loss to Eastern Washington making the chances of qualifying for the tournament much more complicated.
The trip to Utah was not kind to Idaho State's women's volleyball team. The Bengal team fell to both Utah Valley and Weber State Oct. 26th and 27. The volleyball team has dropped into a four-game deficit as they prepare for their road game against Sacramento State on Nov.
Cross country finals for the men and women's team were held at the University of Montana Golf Course in Missoula, Montana this weekend. A full summer of training paid off for the men's team as they finished fourth overall in the conference. Top finishers for ISU included Saheed Kahn and Gemma Maini, who both finished eighth in their races.
Two weeks ago, it was the Idaho State men's golf team that showed improvement in the Bill Cullum Invitational with a 13th place finish on a tuesday morning. For one Bengal however, this tournament was an extraordinary event he will never forget. Idaho native, Mark Cowman shot a hole in the first round of the tournament.
Idaho State University's men's basketball team tied for fifth place last season, and was the #6 seed in the conference tournament. Those two numbers resurfaced today as the Bengals were picked to finish fifth in a vote of the league's nine coaches and sixth by a vote of the league media as the Big Sky Conference released the preseason basketball polls on Thursday afternoon.
