all team honored their 19 outgoing Seniors before their last home game of 2007. It was the last game in Holt Arena for Viliami Akoteu, Brett Bankus, Josh Barnett, Chris Boblit, Terrance Calloway, Micah Cloward, Michael Harris, Joel Janke, Branden Jones, Clyde Logan, Anthony Melvin, Sterling Mennear, Joe Nelthorpe, John Schwartz, Geo Simmons, Jon Winn, George Yarno, Will Yoder and Dan Zeidman. The game didn't start well for Idaho State. The Bengals were able to make only one first down before finding themselves in a compromised position and needed to punt. The Grizzles then drove down the field in just five plays to post a 7 - 0 lead. After trading punts, the Bengals answered with an 18 play, 92 yard touchdown drive of their own, taking 9:28 off the clock.

With the game tied 7 -7, Montana took the ball and started driving. Just three plays into the drive, Terrence Calloway intercepted Cole Bergquist's pass. Idaho State started driving, but a couple of costly penalties forced ISU to punt on fourth and 22. The Bengals forced another three and out and regained possession at their own 15. Over the remaining 5:58, Idaho State drove the ball to the Montana 28 yard line before another costly penalty forced ISU back to the 38. After a two yard run, Dan Zeidman came on to the field to attempt a 53 yard field goal as time expired. The field goal was blocked by Buch Buchanon Award finalist Kroy Biermann.

The Bengals outplayed the Grizzlies in all parts of the game in the first half. Unfortunately, a few costly penalties prevented them from taking a lead into the half.

Montana took the second half kickoff and with the help of two big Bengal penalties had the ball at midfield after just one two-yard run. The Bengal defense then stiffened and forced a Grizzly punt. ISU then went three and out, giving Montana the ball back with 11:25 to go in the third. The Grizzlies wasted no time in taking the lead with a five play, 69 yard touchdown drive that took just 1:58 off the clock. Then Grizzly kicked the ball seven yards deep into the endzone for Montana where J.D. Ponciano fielded it. After making a couple people miss, Ponciano burst out to the right side and raced all the way to the endzone. Ponciano's 100 yard kickoff return tied the game for the Bengals and brought the crowd back into it.

Montana again drove quickly. After a short loss and an incompletion, Berquist threw deep to Ryan Bagley who caught the ball at the ISU 8, stumbled and went to the turf, breaking his arm at the wrist.

After the injury delay Montana came back on the field, perhaps a little shaken. The snap from center was fumbled, after Berquist recovered he raced for the goal line, where he again lost control
