Bengal: Where did you grow up?
Carson: I grew up in Detroit, Michigan.
Bengal: How long have you played basketball?
Carson: It's been about 15 years. I started playing backyard ball with my cousins when I was little. I was the youngest so I had to be tough.
Bengal: Why did you choose basketball at ISU?
Carson: I wanted to come somewhere that I would make an immediate impact on the game. I could get playing time if I came here. The coach came and saw me at school in Michigan and wanted me to play. I guess we had a special bond.
Bengal: What is the favorite thing about your team?
Carson: We're all so close. We all came in at the same time and it's a brotherhood. There is no choice but to be close. We practically all live together.
Bengal: What was one of your finest memories at a game?
Carson: It was when we played Montana. I hit the game winner when I put back an offensive rebound.
Bengal: What do you specifically hope to contribute to the team this year?
Carson: I hope to keep giving scoring power and keep putting the ball in the basket. I want to keep moving forward and not backward.
Bengal: What do you expect from fans at home games?
Carson: I expect them to show up and support us. It's a lot easier to lay some smack down when they make some noise.
Bengal: How do you get pumped up for each game?
Carson: I got this Youtube video I watch before ever game. It's my favorite ball player, Steve Francis, who used to play for the Rockets.
Bengal: What is the goal for the team this season?
Carson: We want ten victories in conference play. It'd be great to host the Big Sky tournament.
