ADA and Disabilities Resource Center fosters awareness

The events are designed to help build awareness of the contributions people with disabilities bring to the University, the workplace and the community. Dennis Toney, Director of the ADA and Disabilities Resource Center said, "Events and discussions will focus on how equal access to buildings, education, and jobs can benefit everyone."
Toney said he hopes to turn Disability and Awareness Week into an annual event that will continuously improve communication and understanding between people of all abilities.

• Feb. 28, 12 to 1 p.m. Guest Speaker, Emily Turner to discuss Deaf Rendezvous Suite C Culture
• Feb. 28, 7 p.m. Presentation of Disability Awareness and
Reed Gym Distinguished Service Award to Ernie Naftzger
• Feb. 29, 12 to 1 p.m. Mary Whitacker: Hearing Screening
