Bengals chew up the Bobcats

One half of the ISU women's basketball team's mission is to win the Big Sky Championship by sweeping the Montana schools. This was achieved on the road Thursday night against Montana State in Bozeman. When the Bengals defeated the Bobcats 85-71. Natalie Doma and Andrea Lightfoot led the way to a dominant and critical victory for Idaho State.
Lightfoot and Doma combined to score Idaho State's first 20 points in a game that see-sawed back and forth in the first half as the Bengals went on an eight to zero run. This was followed by the Bobcats scoring nine in a row, and Idaho State returning the favor with eight more points. Montana State added another five and eventually the two teams knotted up at 20-20 midway through the first half.
Then, Bianca Cheever joined Doma and Lightfoot in the scoring action with seven points in the last nine minutes of the half. Lightfoot and Doma continued their scoring ways to put the Bengals up 38-32 at halftime.
The Doma/Lightfoot scoring machine continued to roll at the beginning of the second half with the two trading several baskets. They were joined by Devin Diehl who drained eight points of her own in the first eight minutes of the second half. This was capped off with a Diehl free throw to put the Bengals up 60-41. Idaho State never looked back as they coasted to victory.
Doma led all scorers with 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Lightfoot had an all around night with 22 points, including three 3-pointers, nine rebounds and four assists. Cheever added 10 points with three assists, while Diehl scored eight points with two assists. Jenna Brown had six points with four rebounds
