Daniel Zeidman, #39, warms up to secure his dream of being a kicker for a professional team.

Daniel Zeidman has been dreaming about being part of a professional team since be was a boy. He has decided to pursue his dream and has dedicated himself to try to pursue a professional career as a kicker on a football team. His strong seasons at ISU have helped him prepare for the road ahead.

Bengal: Where did you grow up?

Zeidman: San Diego, California. I lived there my whole life.

Bengal: How long have you played football?

Zeidman: I started kicking when I was eight.

Bengal: How long have you lived in Pocatello?

Zeidman: I've been here since August of 2005.

Bengal: Why did you choose ISU over other schools to play football?

Zeidman: They offered me a scholarship and I took it. Holt arena is a kicker's indoor paradise. No wind, the ball just flies.

Bengal: What are you going to school in and when will you finish?

Zeidman: Sports Management in the PE department, I have a year left. I'm just going to pursue football right now and see where that takes me before I finish school. Bengal: Do you have any favorite professional teams?

Zeidman: I just like sports in general. I've been a Charger fan. Football is the best, but I enjoy watching bowling and golf.

Bengal: What kind of car do you drive? What kind of car would you drive if money wasn't an option?

Zeidman: I don't have a license. I was a wild child and got a DUI in 2005 before I came here. I just never worried about getting my license back. Out here I don't need it.

Bengal: What was your first job?

Zeidman: I worked at my dad's law firm when I was 16 as a clerk. My favorite job is when I sold sunflower seeds for the Chargers and the Padres. I would go early to the game to watch the kickers warm up.

Bengal: How have you been preparing yourself to be recruited by a professional team?

Zeidman: First, you have to work hard and then you have to perform on the field. NFL has such a high budget, they just basically recruit anyone throughout the country. I had a good junior year in high school and some of the teams checked me out. There were a few recruiters that watched the practices last fall. I decided to get an agent and I have a good agent. Then the Colts called me and wanted to check me out.
