The Idaho State men's tennis team was defeated (5-2) by Utah State Tuesday afternoon at the Sports Academy and Racquet Club. The Aggies improve their season record to 5-11, while the Bengals fall to 1-11 for the season. Idaho State has fallen to Utah State in the last four matches over the past two years.
In doubles the Bengals had competitive matches but dropped all three of the contests, capturing two of the six singles matches. Senior Marc Pijoan captured a victory over Jakob Asplund in straight sets 6-3, 6-0 at the number one spot. He improved on his previous victory over Asplund in February when the Aggie took Pijoan to three sets. Pijoan improved his singles record to 8-4 for the season.
