Issue date: 4/9/08 Section: Sports
The ISU softball team opens their first home stand this week after playing tournament ball the last two months in Utah, Arizona, Hawaii, and Oregon. And a long road, trip it was playing 25 games against such teams as Oregon, Oregon State, Northwestern, the University of Washington, Nebraska and Temple. While the win column appears to come up on the short end, the Bengals are now riding a fourgame winning streak as they come home. They will play at Rainey Park, in Pocatello near where Arthur Street merges into the Bannock Highway.
The first two games at Rainey Park were played Monday, but on Wednesday fans can go out and see the team in action vs. Utah State in a doubleheader that begins at Noon. Then Idaho State will face Great Falls on Saturday in another doubleheader that begins at Noon.
So come out and root on the home team this week as the Bengals look to keep their winning streak alive.
