Inside a dark Holt Arena the anticipation was high as the sound of flies was filling the venue. When the lights came on, Eve 6 began to rock the crowd.

The certified platinum band was the headlining act of the concert that was held Thursday, April 10 as part of ISU Springfest sponsored by the Student Activities Board.

The Los Angeles based Eve 6 rocked the 2,834 people in attendance with hits such as "Inside Out" and the graduation anthem "Here's to the Night," along with some of the other songs from their previous three albums. They also performed some of the new music the members of the band wrote during their three-year hiatus.

Most of those in attendance were down on the floor in front of the stage that was set in the middle of Holt Arena. They were dancing, crowd surfing and even moshing as the band was performed. At one point during the set, the band had every person down in front of the stage hopping up and down to the beat of the song.

The highlight of the evening was when the band began to play their most popular song, "Inside Out," to close the show. People all over Holt Arena that knew the song, which hit the charts in 1999, were singing along with the band and at one point even singing the chorus when the microphone was put into the crowd. When the song was finished the band left the stage to roaring applause and chants from the crowd of "one more song." After a couple minutes of screaming and applause the band returned for an encore of two songs.

The opening act for Eve 6 was Rexburg's own Love You Long Time. The band, who label themselves as powerpop, electronica and hip-hop, rocked the crowd with their very unique style of music.

The band, dressed in a wide array of neon colored clothing, had choreographed dances to go with some of their songs. One of the band members even played the keytar - a combination guitar and keyboard.

The songs performed by Love You Long Time ranged from their own music like "Dreamkiller" and "Showstopper" to a remake of the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. There was also freestyle rapping performed by the lead singer of Love You Long Time, "MC OZ," about Pocatello, ISU and the crowd.

Eve 6 and Love You Long Time put on a high-energy show that rocked Holt Arena. They both may have found some new fans and brought back some old fans with their performances.
