Presentation on Mars rovers at University Place
in IF April 23
Dr. James W. Rice, Jr., an astro-geologist from Arizona State University's School of Earth and Space Exploration, will give a free public lecture titled "The Odyssey of the Mars Rovers" at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, in the Tingey Administration Building Auditorium, Room 200, at University Place in Idaho Falls.
His visit and lecture are sponsored by the Idaho Museum of Natural History and the ISU Department of Geosciences.

Wild and Scenic Film Festival at ISU April 23
Idaho Rivers United and the ISU Outdoor Adventure Center will present the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival On Tour at the ISU Bengal Theatre in the Pond Student Union Building on Wednesday, April 23, at 6:30 p.m.
The event will feature an opportunity to win a trip on the Main Salmon River, as well as other great gear and prizes. For additional film bios, go to www.idahorivers.org.
All proceeds benefit Idaho Rivers United.

'Sound and Waves' science demo show at ISU April 26
The ISU Department of Physics, and the Society of Physics students, invite the southeast Idaho community to a science demonstration show on Saturday, April 26, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Room 140 of the ISU Physical Science Building.
"Sound and Waves" is the title of the show, which will feature the "Singing Rods," the "Breaking a Wine Glass with Sound," the "Flaming Wave Tube" and other demonstrations. Attendants are encouraged to show up early for hovercraft rides and a candy shoot in the Physical Science Building foyer. This and other science demo shows are presented at local K-12 schools upon invitation. This event is free to the public.
