ISU Extends Losing Streak to Nine

Idaho State's 33-21 loss to Montana State Saturday, Oct. 4 in Holt Arena marked the ninth straight loss for the Bengals. Despite this defeat, Eddie Thompson surpassed Sale' Key's all-time reception record. Before kickoff, there was a buzz in the air that was accentuated by Benny's repelling from the catwalks atop Holt Arena.

Bengal Soccer Ties Gonzaga

In their final game before the Big Sky Conference schedule begins, the Idaho State Soccer team took the field against the Gonzaga Bulldogs and played what may have been their best overall game of the year, notwithstanding that the score ended in a 0-0 tie.

Kilee Quigley is a senior midfielder for the Idaho State Soccer team. She hails from Murray, Utah where she went to Cottonwood High School and played club soccer for the Celtic Storm before attending Idaho State University. Quigley has been a starter for the Bengals in every game since she arrived as a freshman until this past week when she was forced to sit out the Gonzaga game due to receiving a red card in the game against San Diego.

Emily Hu is a sophomore from Okanogan, Wash. and a graduate of Okanogan High School. She's an infield and outfielder for Idaho State's softball team this season, as she pursues her major in pre-med and minor in business. In addition to her strong qualities in enthusiasm and work ethic, Emily has displayed a sense of leadership this season.

Women Earn Third-Place Finish at Utah Valley Invitational

Orem, UT - Gemma Maini earned another Top 5 finish, leading the Idaho State women's cross country team to a third-place finish at the Utah Valley Invitational on Friday, Oct. 3 ,in Orem, Utah. The Bengals scored 67 points, behind event winner and Big Sky foe Weber State, but ahead of event host Utah Valley and a partial squad from BYU.

Bengals Run Out of Gas Against Sacramento State

Sacramento,?CA - Idaho State fell to Sacramento State in straight sets (25-20, 28-26, 25-14) as the Bengals could not regain control after the second set at Colberg Court on Friday, Oct. 3. Sacramento State captured its first home victory and Big Sky win to post a 1-2 conference record, while Idaho State fell to 1-3.
